exciter wire

hi guys,
im rather new to the forums but have been reading all kinds of info, so much that i confused myself lol. i have an 01 supercharged ws6, and the alternator quit charging, replaced it and still wont charge so i changed the 4 pin exciter harness and still wont charge, can someone tell me how to bypass the pcm and run a wire with resistor inline to power the exciter? like i said ive read all kind of stuff and now lost myself in doing this.

Pin B on the connector just needs 12v ignition with a 470 ohm resistor inline to charge it at 14.5v

WS6 should have a 1-wire (but 4 position) connector,
like my car. Measure the L terminal voltage and see if
it's up when engine is running.
