Default PCV system 5.3 with ls1 intake (with pictures)

I have a 2001 5.3 with an LS1 intake. I am trying to determine the best PCV routing, I have attached a picture of my currently cobbled together PCV system which I don't believe is working correctly. I would like some guidance as to what route to take from here, maybe some clear photos of how to route. I will even consider running a catch can at this point but I am also very unsure of the routing of that.

Here is my Drivers side, it goes from a PCV valve in the valve cover that I bought to the intake on the drivers side.

Here is the passengers side, it goes from the port right up front on the passenger valve cover to the throttle body like it did on the 5.3 setup.

the passenger side nipple needs to be connected to the PCV hose..

the drivers side where you have it hooked to now is your EVAP port...

Is your PCV valve on the drivers valve cover at the back??

Yes sir, the Drivers side valve cover hole I have a PCV valve in. Are you saying I do not have this routed correctly at all? I have the pcv valve connected to the EVAP port then apparently, which nipple should the PCV be connected to?

Also just to add, I think the most confusing part is my 5.3 valve covers do not have a rear passenger port like everyone mentions.

the barb below the throttle cable that you have a rubber nipple on should be hooked into the PCV line... also take out the PCV from the drivers valve cover and put it in line coming out of the passenger side line..

here is the LS1 PCV hose setup.

my passenger side valve cover only has one spot for a hose, I noticed the ls1 valve covers have two spots, can I achieve what I need to do using my current covers?

Looks like I'm going go grab some stock LS1 valve covers and stock PCV crossover and go from there.

obviously I don't have mine set up correctly. But I have it set up like the original poster and I'm having no bad side effects.

Would this be an acceptable PCV routing for my system? Also, is there a problem with me just leaving my PCV valve in the valve cover instead of inline like shown?

That just looks like a stock setup with a catch can added, so I dont see why there would be any issues with it.
How do you plan on leaving the PCV valve in the valve cover?

Well the stock system also uses the rear passenger side valve cover port too. I planned to keep the PCV valve pushed into the valve cover, run the line from that to the catch can and then to the intake port. Rather than using a fitting in the valve cover and putting the pcv inline close to the catch can if that makes sense.

Just like this, until I get a catch can. PCV valve will go right into the grommet on the drivers side valve cover like it already does now. Also NOT using a rear passenger side port on the valve cover at all since I do not have one.

I am getting a bit of oil from the valve cover bolts which I assume is because I don't have proper PCV?

I'm running an 02 and 05 truck motor with LS1 intake and have only the original drivers side PCV. It's plumbed like yours. No issues.

Check for any restrictions in the PCV hose and check your PCV valve for functionality. Your current setup should be able to pull the pressure from the crankcase efficiently.
