for near stock cars, the middle plate works best. for what it's worth, i just put he smallest open hole plate in because the wife said it was too loud after putting the bassani headers on. didn't 'feel' any different.

small hole-most tq
medium hole-+tq/+hp
large hole-most hp
no plate- dunno, but I like the way it sounds!

If I put the largest plate in I lose 1mph at the track. Wide open was best stock, and now with mods. Dyno proven also!!
