I am building a wire harness for my 05 8.1 vortec swap. I have cut the snout off my intake, hogged it out and welded a 102mm plate to it. The 8.1's all came with drive by wire. I have the whole set up but I can't get confirmation from nick willams if I can run the 102dbw throttle body on my 05 p59 truck ecm and tac. It has the 8 pin plug and the nw102 has 6 pin. I would like to keep the dbw for the cruise control but my ecm does have the drive for the iac to run a dbc. I am thinking of going dbc for the fact that the car is getting a manual transmission. I don't know how dbw reacts with a clutch car. Someone please give me some input. I need to get this harness done. If I can wire this ecm to the nw102mm I would like to know.

I cant say anything about the 8.1 specifically, but I'm running a manual trans DBW on an 02 6.0 with 411 ecu and an 05 5.3. Both work fine. I did have an issue with hanging rpm when the clutch was depressed with one tune on the 05. A few others have seen the same thing. I'm not sure of the settings to fix this, but it can be tuned correctly.
