Default LS1 to LS3 intake manifoild

Im curious if anyone has tried an ls1 intake on the rectangle port heads? Is there any reason it wouldnt work? Does the smaller ports blosck the injectors?
I ask because I have an LY6 rectangle port heads, Im looking around at intakes and find alot more ls1 and 2 intakes complete, throttle body injector etc for better price than the L92 style. Obviously cheaper because there older and a little more abundant at this point. Well just curious if anyone has tried it or knows why it wouldnt work.

Total different port . It won't seal. Think of a round ball into (sealing) a square hole.

They make port adapter plates now so that you can do that exact thing. Most use them to put an LSA blower on a cathedral port head but I guess you can use them for any LS3 intake onto a cathedral head.

Default Adapter Plate LS-3/LS-1

The bolt location is different.

The LS-1/2/7 have the same bolt location
The LS-3/92 bolt location is lower.

There are ways to go LS-1 port to LS-3 intake with adapter plates.

Well it is what it is, I was just curious. I have an LY6 and 700r4, I'm going to need to go with a cable driven throttle body for the trans. Unless I put a manual kit in it, but I don't want to do that. So Ill have to find a ls3 intake and either an ls1 or early truck cable driven throttle body and make it work somehow. Thats why I was curious about the LS1-2 intakes.

Thanks Ive seen them, I had an ls1 intake already that would be the way to go. But at 195 I dont know if its worth it. The LS3 intake, LS1 throttle body and an adaptor plate will cost a little then even the ls1 intake with the adapter but not by much.

Could you tell a source that shows, that LS3 to LS1 or vise versa will not bolt up will out adapters. Because I've heard from a couple different that they will and have the same bolt pattern.

Default TURBO Intake Manifolds

OK, the LS-3 Hendrick head uses a gasket I acquire from SC Gaskets.

I stock all three, LS-1/2, LS-7, and LS-3/92.

JUST buy one of each, do your own observation.

MY choice would be to use a L-92 intake with plates, a great turbo choice AND LOWER cost.
