Idle fluctuation while cruising.
Idle fluctuation while cruising. For the past couple months I have been having a bit of an erratic cruising RPM. When I am cruising around town at partial throttle, my RPMs are fluctuating between 1400-1600. My idle sits at 1000 consistently once warmed up and does not change regardless. I also notice that my car searches for idle (900-1600RPMs)about 1 min after starting cold and it lasts about 3 mins until it smooths out at 1k. I have swapped out the intake to a FAST 102 since this started and the problem has not changed. PCV system is all new and does not leak. No other vacuum leaks can be found. Does the IAC do anything at this RPM? Could this be my cold start problem as well? I had it tuned 2 weeks ago and the tuner said he saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Throttle cracker commands excess air until stopped.
Throttle follower commands additional air when off
idle.
If IAC air model is off this could be unstable. Some larger
TBs have IAC channels that are different than stock
and this might make the airflow-seeking "wind up"
and be oscillatory.
