Code: P0107 MAP Default Reading
So I recently just ditched the LS1 PCV setup in favor of the LS6 Valley Cover. Finally got everything back together (after replacing the OPSU) to find a new problem my car is now experiencing. On initial startup everything seemed to be great, however after 2 minutes of idling the "ASR OFF" light came on and trying to flip the switch had no effect. Thinking it may just be a glitch I killed the engine and refired it up.
However, the light stayed on and my favorite Check Engine light appeared on this cycle. Long story short, I have a Aeroforce gauge in which I can read the MAP lb/ft and it's reading a steady -26.5 in all situations. Doesn't budge, ever. I'm able to reach my hand back there and ensured the connector is fully plugged in along with all the hoses.
I'm leaning more towards a wiring issue as oppose to the actual sensor being bad, since I had no issues prior to pulling the intake off. When putting it back together I made sure everything was routed exactly how it was when pulling it off.
My first question is, since I'm able to reach my hand back there is there enough slack in the wire to unplug it and pull it up over the intake to troubleshoot it with a reader? Or am I forced to pull the intake back off to reach it? I'm wondering if I possibly snagged the wire a little and caused one of the wires going to the pigtail to back out just enough where it's not connecting.
My second question is, how incredibly touchy is the MAP sensor in regards to a resistance change? If this is the case (wires aren't fully seated) am I able to purchase a new pigtail and splice it in?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone in advance.
