If you wanted to spend 5 bucks you could just put a
clean length of hose in place of the 2 pieces. Just
keep it up off the pulley and it's fine.
Unless you live in places where condensing fog is a
likelihood, then you would really like to not ice up
your TB. Once spent an hour by the side of the road
up on the Ontario 401, waiting for the ice to melt out
of my Mustang's carb (open element air cleaner,
chrome of course, no heat stove).
