Thumbs down LS2 E40 24x 3(?)pin Alternator problem

lHey guys

I recently got my hands on a
'05 24x E40 6.0 LS2 engine

I was looking around to find the right harness for the engine.

One site gave me the option to selecte either 2- or 4-pin alternator.

Now this raised a problem, went to check my engine and the alternator looks likes this (3 pins??????).

Any information about this, or what harness I need to buy?

Thx

If the alternator
is from an ls2 vette then your gonna have a 3 pin connector. 2 pins on the alt connector run to the pcm. the "L term" (pin b on alt connrctor) runs to pcm C2 pin 61 and the "f term" (pin c on alt connector) will go to the pcm C2 pin 33. The 3rd pin is the sense wire, "s term"). That will be a 16 Guage wire and runs to underhood fuse block C2 pin A2.

It is indeed an engine from a vette.

Does this means I need to search a special harness somewhere?
Or would the 4-pin do the job with some modifications?

This is the one I would buy:

I got mine from efi connection (my bad if they are not a sponsor). I'm sure any of the electrical places and the swap places will have what u need. I would just make sure to ask and tell them that u need the connector for a 3 pin vette ls2 alternator. The ls6 vette connector should work too I believe.
