Default EGR question...

If I were to install a set of headers that didn't have the EGR port and I left the EGR unit in place and electronics connected but left the intake side hose disconnected so that it was just sucking in fresh air, would it throw a code?

Throw a code for low flow because the exhaust pressure is higher than the atmospheric pressure
