Dave I just looked at your dyno thread and realized you also swapped catbacks. Did you happen to do a pull dropping the catback? It's the only other thing you changed in the setup. I also noted you said you didn't have to remove the steering with the SE header install in that thread.

The first time I removed the Macs, before I did the poly mounts I test fitted the SE headers and I got them to slide right in. For some reason after the poly mounts were installed I was fighting with them to get them in. So I removed the shaft. When I go to put the SEs back in I will attempt to do it without the shaft being removed.

Well it looks like I will be making another trip to New Era Performance for another dyno tune. I was asked by the WS6 STORE to try out a new prototype cam they are coming out with. It was designed to be an improvement on the exact cam I was running (the GMPP Hot Cam.) Since I just had a dyno tune done from a shop that they are very familer with it was a good time to see how much I can gain over the original hot cam. It looks like the lobes will be very easy on the valve train, which is what I really wanted when I installed GMs hot cam. All I can say is that I needed to change springs to accommodate the increased lift of the new cam.
I hope to get back to the dyno within a couple weeks. I the longtubes are back on so I guess we will see how this new cam does!

My personal scale
Street manners > track times > dyno numbers.
If you did your setup correctly 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. Try to lean the scale one direction or the other and the other area suffers

I can't ever reccomend comp springs to anyone who has a choice. They do not have a reputation for quality

Well my first impression of this cam is WOW! The lope in the idle is even a little nastier than the hot cam was, it deffenitatly pulls harder throught the whole rpm range. Most of all is the improved drivability! The Hot cam would surge and buck like crazy. It made it hard to cruze in 6th gear at a low rpm or rolling through a parking lot. All of that is gone now! I still have the nasty idle, gobs of torque down low and a cam that is very easy on the valve train. I couldn't be happier with this cam!
Everyone talks about how good custome spec. cams are.... Well if I was gonna do a custome spec. cam this would be it.
