Weird all of the sudden major idle issues
Anyways it's on a SD only tune as nobody can get the MAF to take and now wants to almost die while idling in gear or parked. It will fall to about 450-550 at stop lights. Wasn't doing this until it went 450 miles away so I thought my father was crazy so he sent me a video. Now between Lincoln Nebraska I'm at 1,175′ elevation with high humid area, while my fathers shop is in Scottsbluff, Ne and at 3,891′ elevation no humidity and obviously much thinner air but would this have an impact drastically on my tune? Went from idling at 1000 to 500-550 and running very sluggish.
Didn't know if maybe I have an IAC issue? Maybe a fouled plug? Maybe bad gas? Maybe bad fuel regulator?
J&S Performance and Tuning out of Denver, CO suggested drilling a hole in the FAST 102 TB. It's about a six hour drive to my fathers from Lincoln and probably going to make the drive Friday alone so I can help with a few things on car and hopefully maybe get something figured out on this idle/sluggish performing issue. Yes I understand that elevations impact vehicles but am shocked by how it's running out there. Doesn't run like a car that put 470 down on a Mustang Dyno. I recently spent 650 on a tune and was surprised when I pulled up to the first stop sign leaving the shop and it was osculating badly but was told it's a big cam so that's the way it is. I have HP Tuners Pro and will take my laptop to maybe see what's up but honestly I'm no expert with computers.

Also video was recorded from my mothers Iphone as I told my dad drive and enjoy the Camaro as much or as little as you want. He's a EX GM Master Technician but got out of the business around 1991 so he's admitted to me that the computer stuff is foreign lol. Throw a carb and cables minus computers and he'd be in his element.
Depending on the tune..with SD only can be picky about elevation changes but Im no expert.Ive had previous cars with sd only that would be picky about just simple rain. Though not being able to tune with maf sounds like an excuse for a lazy tuner and for what you spent on a tune...I would expect the tuner to do a driveability test which wouldve shown that hunting idle that needed addressing right away.Big cam or not shouldnt hunt like that..setting a higher idle I can see..but not hunting.Good luck..i hate idle issues lol
