Default Msd 6LS ignition controller question

I'm new here and would appreciate any info you guys can give me. So I am currently buying parts to complete my nitrous set up on my 05 ls2 GTO. The last part I needed was a ignition controller to adjust timing, well I got a little anxious and went to a local performance shop and pulled the trigger on a MSD 6LS. I have been doing a little resrarch previously and i was considering this one already. I asked the sales associate about it and it seems to be just what I'm looking for and the guy says it comes with everything to connect and use on my car. So I get home and it seems that this unit is for a carburetor set up. It says it can be used with the stock efi system but a different harness (PN 8886) is required. I specifically asked him that and he said no it comes with everything needed. So do I need the other harness or not? I'm hoping I dont need to buy something else for it to work. Thanks for any help.

You need to take it back and stick with the stock efi/pcm system.

So do I not need a ignition controller at all? Can my car be tuned for nitrous with out it?

You need to change speed shops. Deal with someone who actually knows what he is talking about. This guy was only a "sales associate". Walmart has lots of those....
