I picked up 13 RWHP going from an LS6 to a Mamo ported Fast 92. Lost a little power under the curve as well. If I had it to do over again, I'd invest that $ in spray.

On fairly mild setups I tend to agree with that statement

This has to have been gone over at least once a week since I joined the site. In fact there is another thread several down from this one right now.

Fact of the matter is the Fast will always make more HP than the LS6. If it doesn't you have a mechanical, electrical, or tuning problem (or the dyno results are skewed/ from different days/etc).

The more modded the vehicle is the more the Fast will gain. The couple intakes that do make more peak power than a Fast do so with great sacrifices in under the curve power.

It's personal preference if the costs are worth it. IMO once you sell the LS6 intake and stock tb you can get a used Fast for not much more money so it's a no brainer if you want to make N/A power for a street driven LS car.

While I DO believe my statement to be true, it was meant as a poke at Big Hammer, who has insisted a few times the Ls6 manifold is a turd...

A fast would likely pick up no power over an ls6 at all. On a 4.8.

On a stock 4.8 or 5.3 it might gain next to nothing because the trucks have turd cams that are done making power too early. Put pretty much any cam, even a baby 205/210 duration like my Cam Motion drop in cam and I would bet the Fast would still make slightly more power from ~4000 rpm up until redline which on my truck is 6,000.

In this application that wouldn't be worthwhile. But this is LS1tech not Perfomance Trucks. But on that note the Fast LSXrT truck intake is better than the car one, especially under the curve so you still have an option if that's your bag.

He had a dyno thread and listed most of it out. Stock heads and cam. But triY exhaust, EWP, fast 102, ATI pulley, not sure about rockers or springs, really light clutch, tune.

That's all I can remember.

That's all fine and well, but then include that info, dont just post a dyno graph of picking up 60+rwhp and imply its all the FAST, its very misleading.

I just breezed right past the dyno graph post immediately realizing it was complete and utter horse ****, didn't put more than a second or two of thought in it. Just long enough to do a very rapid eye roll.

Because you have a clue lol. I'm more concerned about people new to the LS who see a post like that and think that $1000 in a fast is a bargain and will get them 60rwhp.

I'm showcasing what a FAST 102 on a well thought out set up can do on a bolt on car. Gained 63 from ATI 10%, light clutch and 100 mm MAF. Injectors are now MAXED out.

That does not really tell us anything Scott. 60whp gain could of been from all the other mods...Just saying.

So not just a FAST 102. Got it. Everyone posting is smart enough to know that, just a concern about misleading others who stumble across this thread either now or years from now. Either way its an awesome gain.
