Default anyone have trouble with SLP Y pipe install?

Got an SLP Y pipe, went to install it, and it appears the ball flanges on the pipe are too wide, they wont hook up to the catalytic converter assemblies. Any help with this? Thanks.
PS I have a 2000 TA

My 99TA had the SLP Y for a while. Do you have the SLP Y for a 98-99 or 00+? The manifolds are different 98-99 tubular steel to 00+ cast iron and I think according the lengths are slight different.

Had the exact same problem (also 2000), as I recall I used a vice-grip to pry on the bolts from the cats to widen the spacing slightly, still it was difficult. Probably heating up the bolts with a torch would help. Or you could dremel out the holes on the flanges.

nope I got the ones for a 2000 TA, what I ended up doing was getting my dremel with grinding tool and made the holes longer, just enough to fit. PITA but got it done.
