Yes, you need the clamshell style mounts. The clamshell mounts actually attach to the frame; The engine brackets attach to them with a long bolt. The clamshell mounts are OEM parts(though Holley sells them too) and are what cushions the engine from the frame.

The Holley site specifies which ones to use. Just follow their lead on this.

I messed up- The rubber mounts DO go on the engine, and the brackets to the frame. Don't know where my head has gone.....

You can get a lot of information be reading through the Hooker 3rd-gen F-body swap thread I created on this forum, and by downloading the instructions for each part off of the Holley website.

Thanks. Yeah, I think the combination of the Hooker engine brackets and transmission crossmember make a real nice mounting package for 3rd-gens and the headers and exhaust systems top it off very well.

Glad to help. What are you plans for an oil pan? The Holley 302-2 is drop-in compatible. If you want to use a stock 4th-gen F-body pan then you'll have to notch back of the engine K-member as some other users have done.
