Alternator Relocation
I'm based in the UK and have an LQ4 that I'm fitting to an old British saloon (1970 Rover P5B Coupe), however, even though the car originally used the Buick derived Rover V8 engine it is still a tight squeeze getting the LQ4 to fit, but it's almost there.
Final piece of the jigsaw is relocating the Alternator. I don't know if it's the same on a standard LQ4 but on mine, as you look at the engine from the front, has the Power Steering at the top right and the Alternator is bottom right (directly under the PS Pump).
I no longer need the Power Steering pump as I a man using electric power assist steering so it would be great to remove the PS pump and move the Alternator to take its place in the top righ position as at the moment the Alternator fouls the chassis rail.
So after all that explanation can anyone point me to the right bracket / accessory kit that moves the Alternator to that location and also a shorter belt as the PS Pump is being removed.
Please bear in mind that being from the UK I'm much more used to dealing with 4 cylinder engines than these big V8s so everything is new to me!
Hopefully the attached photo will show what I'm talking about.
Many thanks.
