Default 02 sierra 6.0 disappearing coolant.

So I'm trying to track down a coolant leak
I'm wondering if it could be intake manifold? According to internet there is a problem with rear ports leaking? Other sites say there is no coolant passages in intake? I'm going to replace water pump after work , but is there something I'm missing? Thanks

There is no coolant in themanifold. There are 2 plugs or a single pipe on the back of the heads behind the intake though that carries coolant which you'll need to pull the intake for

On my 01, the back two coolant ports are blocked. Yours should be the same. Check the radiator side tanks. One of mine cracked and was weeping coolant.

I finally found it. It was sitting at work and started leaking when it cooled down. Far as I could tell, Rust got behind the water pump gasket and created a leak . It would only leak when shut down cold. Changed the water pump tonight. Now I have the hydroboost leak to deal with, and she will be 100%
