Makes the mufflex 3.5” seem a lot better with flow and weight.
No. The area of a 3.5" pipe is 9.62". The area of a 2.5" pipe is 4.91. Multiplied by 2 (dual exhaust pipes) is 9.82. Those twin 2.5's flow more than a single 3.5.

Thats not the way it works bro. There is a formula but it doesnt work like you just laid out. Its somewhere here on ls1tech but Im not gonna dig it up.

With that being said....the cutout is just past the merge on the y pipe so there is no restriction at all beyond that which is definitely and improvement over a pair of mufflers and exhaust pipes out the back.

I don’t see why they didn’t make it 3” dual after the muffler.

Again, if you want more power thats what the cutout is for. With it open it doesnt matter what the tailpipe size is. The tailpipes are not going to be the restriction anyway. The muffler is.

Cut out open is too loud and ugly for the street.
What kind of muffler is it? Straight kinda like a magnaflow or chambered ?

TSP has stated on here that their muffler is very similar to Magnaflow.

Having inspected the muffler before install I can confirm its setup exactly like a magnaflow inside. I got my exhaust on a few days ago and I would say its louder than the magnaflow for sure. I have LT, ORY, FM merge and the 3.5 catback. Its louder than I expected but not too loud. It actually sounds quite good.Im lowered and on stock upper phb. No fitment issues.

The Magnaflow, and others like it, are really just glorified old-school glasspacks.

Yeah its like a magnaflow inside but I can tell you its louder and more bark than a magnaflow. What I cant tell is if its stainless steel packing like a magnaflow.

I'm gonna raise an eyebrow to that one. Regardless, the volume is pretty fng close and given how far back it is and that it's after the muffler those 2.5 inch pipes are doing zero to choke the exhaust.
