The magnaflow is probably the best option for quietness other than an slp dual/dual. I'm thinking two Kooks GE-307540 and two Magnaflow 14416 with that Magnaflow 12267 is as quiet as I'm going to get it.

No rasp
No smell
Fairly quiet

Then open up the cutouts when the situation calls for it.

A friend of mine has had some bad luck with the Kooks mufflers on his procharged gto. You met him and saw his car at the Indy race. The magnaflow seems to be the most quiet out of the aftermarket from what ive read but the walker mufflers look to be the oem replacement for stock. Here is the muffler on summit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-21417

What i don't like is its 2.5 inch in and dual 2.25 out. Mainly the 2.5 inch in. I guess you could have the muffler shop step it down from 3 inch to 2.5 for you. I bet this muffler is as quiet as the dual dual and the stock muffler on my TA.

That walker Quiet-Flow 21417 will probably be just as quiet if not more quiet than the Magnaflow.

I bought a BAFX3370 sound level meter off ebay for $20.

With the car sitting in my driveway and windows up, I'm getting 70db at idle and 80db at 2000 rpm in the cabin. Cutout closed.

By comparison, my 2013 honda accord v6 is 45db at idle and 50 db at 2000 rpm lol.

2 cats, 2 mufflers in the tails and the walker or magnaflow muffler probably gets it down to 50-55 at idle. With both cutouts open off the Y i bet it's 130 db at 2000 rpm....
