Default Never seen one of these intakes on here, is this rare?

Just bought this car and it appears to have a Lamar Walden intake.. see below. I looked him up and appeared to be a legend with the LS platform but has since passed away.. have you guys ever seen one of his intakes on our cars? Its really nice looking. Any info, would be great. Is this a major performance upgrade?

...Heard the name MANY times! It looks like a BBK intake that's been polished. Did he do a port and polish on BBK's and then sell them?

Awesome thanks for the reply! I was looking through his site, and to my knowledge he never really fabricated any intakes for these motors? Glad to get some traction going on this.. The more I read about this guy he seems like a legend.

I'm not sure if its a BBK intake or not. He definitely stamped his name on the top there as you can see. He mustve ported it??

Actually, upon closer inspection, it looks more like the Weiand intake. Several shops ported them "back in the day" including Lingenfelter... I think they just machined off the Weiand logo, ported it, and then engraved their logo on it.

I would classify it as rare, but you can look up articles on the Weiand vs LS6 vs FAST, etc for how it actually flows.
