Is this underdrive pulley good?
Thinking about buying this UD pulley with the OD alternator pulley. Just wanted to get your guys review on it before I purchase it. Anyone have any charging issues at idle? Throwing belts? Any info will be appreciated!

Awesome now the only thing I'm worried about is that my car is cammed not sure what RPM it idled at wanna say 650-700 haven't really looked that close as it. But am I gonna have to turn my idle speed up if I get the pulley? Really don't wanna do that because it'll probably make my cam less choppy I feel

My car came with the pulley when I bought it so I'm not sure if it will effect your idle speed or not. 650 rpm is really low for a cammed setup. Most I see are in the 800-900 range.
Assuming you're coming from a LS1 intake, the UDP and LS6 intake should be around a 15 hp gain on average I'd say

Okay then I had it mixed up I thought they slowed the idle down with a cam but they speed it up that makes sense. I saw a guy on a thread on here do the pulleys and LS6 intake swap and picked up 27rwhp from it. Hoping that's what I'll get

Was his gain from the same dyno in similar conditions? That's the only way to get a realistic comparison.
When I say most are around 800-900 idle im saying that's where most tuners set them at.

That I'm unsure if it was the same day same dyno I'd imagine same dyno not the same day though

I just like how this kit comes with the alt. Pulley the SLP doesn't if it did I'd get that one

Pretty sure I have the stock alt. Not sure the previous owner told me it was a different alt and that it takes a 2010 camaro SS surpintine belt so I ran around for a whole day to figure out it just took the stock size belt

I wouldn't worry about upgrading the alt pulley. If you are keeping AC and want 10% under drive, I would get an ATI 917276 which is 10% under drive steel hub, aluminum shell, with ac pulley and get belts:
Goodyear/Continental 4060775
Goodyear/Continental 4040390
bob@brutespeed on here will have the best prices on ATI stuff.
I would not get an ATI balancer just to increase HP, but rather for peace of mind knowing that my car has the best harmonic balancer on it that money can buy. That is worth more to me than a 20 hp gain that could be had with some other brand that is 25% under drive. ATI makes a 25% under drive and they do not recommend using it in most applications. I'd give ATI a call, maybe things have changed.
