Default LTs, ORY, GMMG Idle

Just posting this up for information. I ran true dual dumps for many years on this Camaro. They vibrated the car a ton and were really loud at cruise. I have a vert top and with the top up the sound was pretty damn loud inside with the top up. Recently switched it up and went ORY and a GMMG. I know people always complain about rasp and loudness. When compared to true dual dumps, this thing is way quieter. Sounds great too. Here is a clip.

Car has a 230/230 cam

Update on 05/07/18: I actually took this for a cruise around AZ this weekend and the exhaust is fantastic inside the cabin with the top up. The noise has been drastically reduced since the TD dumps. Power level seems to be about the same. My buddy and I did a handful of runs on his bolton tuned 6.0 GTO and we were neck and neck with me pulling a little bit up top when he was hitting 5th. I'm sure there were a lot of factors as play but I couldn't notice any power loss.

Sweet . Our cars are clones and I went to ory and catback for same reasons. Was tired of bottoming out after being lowered.

I don't really experience rasp because I have a 4k stalled auto so I never really hold high RPMs on deacceleration. The tone is noticeably deeper through out the powerband and the chop at idle is more mild. The additional ground clearance it nice.

The clearance is nice, I have already noticed a difference on my driveway.

Looks and sounds great, has a nice aggressive tone to it. Are the GMMG catbacks still produced or do you have to purchase used?

Still made but under the MadHammer name. I bought my kit from them and like it. Just wish my left side outlet didn’t hang lower than the right.

No way to "persuade" it upward?

Here in the coming weeks I’m gonna try. Drives me crazy when I see my tips. (I still need to put my Chevelle tips on) I’ve spent so much time realigning and crap to no avail. I think I gonna need to get a floorjack under the right side outlet where it comes out of the muffler to keep it stationary. Then put a perfectly sized pipe into the tip of the outlet and gently try to coax it downward some I think with a little love I can fix it. Just have to do it.

Thank you! You can still find them on GMMG's website. I actually found mine brand new here in Phoenix for 300 bucks. There is a used one for sale in the for sale section. I can't understand why they are so expensive so you may look to see if you can get one used and save some $$
