Will A Bigger Lid Be Worth It So long story short, I just finished my heads / cam lq4 build and am going back and forth on either using my existing lid / stock maf or the FTP 98mm and 85mm maf combo I have laying around. I'm running an ls6 intake, so based on the intake inlet, would using the bigger lid/maf set up gain anything over what I currently have?
I don't have an apples to apples comparison but I didn't even bother putting my blackwing on my HCI build, I'm pretty damn happy with my 98 mm lid and 85 mad. Thing sucks in mad air. I have the ssra scoop under the bumper and I can hear it pulling in air at idle
Gotcha. I switched from a SLP lid to a FTR 98mm lid. Only reason I did that was because my SLP lid was a little warped, and I wanted a better sealing lid to take advantage of my SSRA. Honestly, if your current lid seals really well I'd just leave it be. Differences in the lids themselves won't matter much, but rather how good they seal will matter most
