I didn't really like GMMG's oval tips, so I just went with their standard tips, which are good enough for me. I think the exhaust sounds pretty good on my LT1.

The GMMG is by far my favorite cat-back for a Y-pipe that I've heard. It sounds amazing while at WOT, totally worth dealing with the crappy rasp around 2500 rpm. The only issue I had with it though, is it's just so damn loud, it get's a little too much attention for where I live. I often leave at 4:30 am to go to the gym before work, so I knew it was just going to be too much for my family and neighbors once I added a cam. So I ended up going with a Magnaflow + electric cutout.

I honestly couldn't be much happier with my current exhaust setup, the Magnaflow is quiet enough even with the cam that I can fly under the radar somewhat, but with the cutout open it's just insane. It sounded kinda crappy with the stock cam, but with my new cam it actually sounds pretty good.

Someone was asking for videos so here's a couple from my car
Both of these are with TSP 1 7/8 headers and ORY
And just for fun, here's the cutout open with a Torquer V2.

Agreed, the Magnaflow setup sounds great. One thing I wanted to move away from was the cutout. I could always hear a nasal-like sound with the cutout closed. The more I drive the GMMG, the happier I am. It does get quite a bit of attention.

So, now that I have my headers and ORY on the car..... Sounds amazing but, I try to avoid that special RPM like the plague. I hit up Gary at MadHammer and apparently he is producing an intermediate pipe with another of his chambered mufflers integrated into it. I did a bunch of searching last night and didnt quite find the answer I was looking for. Did anybody try puttting another MadHammer style muffler in their I pipe and did it at least tone down the rasp to some degree around 2000-2300rpm? I really dont want to get rid of the exhaust. Its too quiet inside the car, doesnt drone at all.

Yeah it's been done.

In this thread he says the key is to install it backwards in the intermediate pipe. IMO I wouldn't do it because the powerstick necks down to 2.75" ID, and I think that's going to kill some power, especially with a cam.

Got ya. I have a Magnaflow 14419 in my basement somewhere. Gonna see if I can dig it out and bolt it in my I pipe.
