Oil Pan Clearance

Oil Pan Clearance
I know the general rule of thumb is to have the oil pan sitting higher than cross member/frame.
But anyone running their truck oil pan lower than the crossmember in a SWAP ..... and feeling ok about it - how far ?
Deciding on swapping ....... this is in an older chevy truck ... not a fox body or anything
thx

Or just go with LS2/LS3 pan.

I absolutely would not run my original LM7 oil pan in my 70 El Camino, hung way too low. I went with a Holley 302-2 pan for clearance even with the crossmember if used with the Holley 1 inch forward bias engine mounts.
