macs VS LT's
badmfkr, LTs wouldn't necessarily be overkill, but a bolt on car doesn't need to move as much exhaust as a H/C car. Generally, the more modified the car is, the greater the power difference will be between the Macs and the LTs. On a mild car, Macs aren't a bad choice, especially if you're concerned about ground clearance.

1 3/4 MACs flow plenty. There are quite a few 10 sec cars with MACs. You can always do the primary grind mod and gain 3rwhp or so.
With the 400rwhp range that a street car seeks they are more than enough. Much better with ORY too.

On the way up to Gomer's the other day my friend and i decided to race our cars from 55 mph to about 115 mph in 6th gear. He has pacesetters, a lid, and a cutout and i have MACs with oryp. It was DEAD EVEN the entire time. So with stock internals the flow is just about the same.
