Length of damper
I got an ATI damper and the pulley is sticking too far out. Can't decide whether the damper is bottomed out or if it's a parts mixup. Engine is on a stand and I can't tighten the bolt any further without a flywheel and ring gear lock. The damper is at least 100 mm long by the amount showing.

* The hub is embossed with "031", which is the correct ID number for the ATI F-body steel hub.
* Measurement from back of hub (oil pump side) to the front pulley rim is about 94 mm.
* Overall length is about 102 mm front to back.
I measured the depth of insertion from the outside of the front cover (seal lip) to the cam sprocket and that was about 20 mm. That means the front edge of the pulley rim is about 74 mm (2.9 inch) from front cover when hub is fully pressed on the crank. Those numbers seem to be reasonable based on this article,
