Default High flow catts to ORY?

Need to get some exhaust hangers redone and I was thinking about ditching the high flow catts while I’m at it... anyone go from HFCs to an ORY?

Car has LTs, magnaflow catback, and a small cam.

With the current setup the car is very quiet. Can’t hear the cam at all. Should I expect a big difference is noise?

If you have high flow cats you probably won't notice any change in volume at street level rpms. Under heavy throttle it will be a couple dB louder but shouldn't be much.

its definitely going to get louder ditching the cats, that Magnaflow systems are usually on the quieter side to begin with.

Without cats, LS1's have a hollow tone and more rasp. Personally, I feel the high flow catted cars sound better.

It’ll open it up some but the big thing will be the cat less smell. My wife hates it but I don’t have cats on anything.

In terms of longevity... are high flows comparable to factory catts?

We always recommend going with HF cats on a street car. We use Dynatech exclusively at the shop and I've done back to back testing with their HF cats and no cats. Most I've seen is 5hp and IMO that falls into the variable category between runs.
