Default ARH header to starter motor clearance

I picked up a set of used ARH 1 3/4" headers from a forum member here and recently got them bolted up. I have less than 1/16" clearance between the primaries and my new starter motor. Technically they aren't touching at the moment but in the threads I've read people say they have lots of starter clearance with ARH headers.

The starter I'm using is AC Delco 323-1625 which is an OEM unit for specifically the 2005 Corvettes (got for next to nothing). Looks fairly similar in size and diameter to the original one I took out. Is there a skinnier version of starters I can slip in there or a way to push the header primaries away a little? I've tried loosening the headers and adjusting but this is where they settle to every time using the stock GM exhaust manifold gaskets. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same setup. It’s been on the car since 2007. No issues.

I have the ARH stepped headers ( 1 7/8 x 2 x 3 1/2 ) and no issues.

Yeah mine seem way too close. I have a good inch of clearance on the other side between the kmember and headers. For now I'm just going to roll with it and see what happens. I will report back in a few months with whether or not I end up having any issues.

Fire a picture to ARH and see what they say. How old are these headers?
