Concerned about 90mm set up
I talked to the engine builder at Air Flo Tech in Lauderdale today and he says he has talk to 3 other engine shops about the 90m Fast and 85mm lid and SLP MAF set up.
He says no one he has talked to has gotten one of these set ups to run right.
He says he is concerned with start up and break in with this set up. He doesn't want to damage the motor trying to get it to run right.
He says the guy R&R ing the motor will have a bitch of a time getting everything plumbed right.
His main concern is the SLP MAF he thinks it wil read different from the stock one causing trim problems, idle problems, throttle response and drivability issues. He says it would be a bitch re writing the computer tables to try to get it to run right.
I told him I read about you guys using this stuff and getting great results and he says dyno Queens don't always run very good and have allot of other problems no one ever brags about.
He recomends using a ported stock TB, ported LS6 intake, stock MAF and my SLP lid to install and get the motor broken in with.
Then add the 90mm set up after break in, when we can figure out how to get it set up right.
I want to put it all together from the get go.
Has anyone gotten this setup to run well??
If so I'd really like to see your set up, plumbing and also how do you Get the 85mm MAF tuned with LS1 edit.
Thanks

The link to the post above was some mechanical problems I encountered and fixed before I could get my FAST 90mm TB to work right.
My FAST LSX 90mm TB and intake and 85mm MAF work great now. I did however break my new engine in on the LS6 intake and stock TB and MAF. Of course that was before the LSX came out. You oughtta call Brent at TEA. He tuned mine to perfection...no joke.
Fix those problems listed above first, especially the small bearing on the Throttle Position Sensor side(ping the edges of the TB around the edges of the bearing to hold it in place). Take the TPS off your stock TB and you'll see what I mean. GM already did it on the stock TB's. Also Brent has tuned several LSX 90mm stroker LS1's.
