Default valve cover dilemma

i clearanced my stock valve covers and used a thicker gasket to clear my aftermarket rockers. the pass side was fine, but the drivers side needed the plastic pcv blocker/baffle removed, and both of the "divider" posts near each pcv hole in the valve cover. so basically it looks like a pass side cover but with the 2 pcv connectors. im now finding out that i will now be sucking a lot more oil into my catch can setup.

3 ways of handling this....
1) maybe it wont suck up that much, and if it does address later. valve covers can be done in car
2) try to rig up some way baffling the clearanced cover/somehow blocking the pcv line from sucking up oil
3) accept that i wasted 2 hours grinding and by taller covers, not that i needed that $200 anyway

I’d go with door number 3...

THIS.... the only port I need on my valve covers is the passenger side front that connects to the intake manifold and the LS6 PCV that just goes from intake manifold to valley cover.. my drivers side valve cover has its port capped off

There's nothing inherently complicated about the crossover tube. If there's a fitment issue you can just adapt it or build your own. If you have a flaring tool and a few feet of fuel injection hose you can make something that'll clear almost anything.

'
worst case scenario i cut a section off the crossover and just throw some heater hose there and flex it around the pcv

Can you run two passenger side covers and remove the filler neck and plug it?

On the passenger side as you currently do. Just get another passenger valve cover and use it on the drivers side.

big problem, without thinking i ordered the ls6 valley cover with the knock sensors in it. my block is gen 4 5.3 with the towers so it wont fit. i dont think any gen 4 ls motors had the valley cover with no knock sensor provisions and the pcv valve built in correct? so that means i will most likely need to cut the knock sensor towers out of the valley and then find a way of plugging the knock sensor holes unless anyone else has a better solution.......again, the original problem is i have no baffling in my valve covers from trimming to fit rockers so i cant pull ventilation from those without sucking extra oil. not trying to buy valve covers yet.....
