Default Lm7 or 6.0 swap?

What would gain the most power for the money it will cost? 5.3 with btr stage 3 cam, rods, lifters and springs. tbss intake vs swap to stock lq4/lq9? running with 4l60e. Is the lq4/lq9 direct fit to everything I have today?

Everything you mention interchanges. Put all those goodies in an LQ4/9 and it will be a sweet runner.

All sensor and electrical connections are the same. The computer WILL need to be retuned.

Wide open question. Depends on the mods, obviously.

Of the two you mentioned I think I'd do the modded 5.3 instead of the stock 6.0.

But, not understanding why you can't do a modded 6.0, from what I recall the lq4 was not very expensive from salvage... parts basically interchange from what I understand. Personally, I got an Lq4 and cheap 799 heads ($125 each) from a salvage yard with 228r cam and tuned myself like you mentioned. Am very happy with it. Watch your CR, LQ4 I think had dished pistons lowering CR.. need to make sure your gasket and heads and other parts work together. Otherwise was pretty straightforward. Get your recipe and post it here on ls1tech, the rockstars here will point out any mistakes. I put my LQ4 in place of an LS1 in a trans am, same computer just tuned it with HPTuners, literally all by myself 1 man show.

Alright thanks man. Reason why is that the 5.3 already sits in car and is payed for hehe. But if everything fits then I could build a 5.3 with what I want then buy a 6.0 later and move all parts to the 6.0 ? =)

There's no replacement for displacement unless you go forced induction

I know enough to be dangerous LOL I don't think I am qualified to pronouce that everything will swap, but pretty sure my 799 heads actually came off of a 5.3 if I recall, double check the CR and your gasket choice if you go that way. Headers should then swap over. Pretty sure the cam swaps over.

IMO If you already have a 5.3 in there bought and paid for, and it's good, just build it up with boltons and run it, and as you upgrade the boltons you can verify 6.0L compatibility as you go for your future 6.0 upgrade and decide. I'd get a cam and good heads and get the CR bumped up and tune it.

Your 799's likely did come off 5.3 as all Gen IV 5.3's came with 243/799's, making it the widest application of them by far.
