Default Lt1 4l60e in a ls1 car

My trans is on its way out. Rebuild costs too much considering I’m on a tight budget and the car is my daily so don’t exactly have time to have it down for long. Seen a lot of 4l60e’s from the earlier 4th gens and was wondering it would work in my ‘00 camaro.

A Lt1 4l60e will not work without swapping input shaft.

You need a 4l60e with a bolt hole in the 12 o'clock position of the bell housing

im using a lt1 4l60e in my LS1. 1 bolt wouldnt line up, but its never been an issue. ran 10's in the 1/4 that way. i seem to remember a flex plate and adapter plate for the converter. really was a simple swap.

Yes it will work. U need a $25 converter hub adapter tht gos into the rear of crank. U can reuse stock flexplate but bolt holes will need to be oblonged some.

No diff than installing a th350/400 behind a ls1.
