porting MAS infor obtained at install U

porting MAS infor obtained at install U 1.relucltant on cutting the center black section, scared I mite breack it, can I just skip this step?
2.I would preferr to leave the MAS screen intach why do'es install U leave the srean out?
3.is the center section that's cut out an air foil simiarlar to the LT1 air foil that people add?
4. the finished product at install U there appears to be a small hole at the center section?

do some searches... that info on that site is a few years old.
most on this site, now see the light, and go with the stock maf, and if not stock, an oem maf from a vette with programming
