^^ This.
Sanden has a hipo version of the SD7. Considerably smaller than the more common 508.

I got the 508 with BRP steel mounts on my g-body swap. Much more frame clearance than original f- body variable compressor. If I'd started with it, wouldn't have had to cut & rebox frame behind steering idler.

I got mine way back in like 2005 roughly, couldn't see on website. It's basically a steel bracket for the 508 to go with the factory f-body drive parts in place of the variable compressor.May need to call.

My first thought with ac up high is refrigerant lines may want to interfere with upward mounted turbo headers. But I'm not a turbo/ac install expert, up to you how to make it all fit & work together.

wont have upward headers. having some made. been lookin at the whole thing these past couple days theyll pretty much be a block hugger header on the passenger side cross in front of the oil pan and up to the drivers side. turbo will sit behind the drivers side headlight. need to get a mini starter now.

1st pic is where the downpipe is going to go. that pipe sitting on the tape is a half inch bigger than what im goin to run.
2nd pic is where the cross over is gonna go from passenger side to drivers side.

Yep, that changes everything to top mount looking like best option now. Original thread title not important now, but that's just part of the fun of the design process. Should be pretty cool ride when done.

Just a side thought here, was recently looking into air cure cerakote header coating, which with good prep & a decent touch up gun, could be fairly easy for skilled diy. Would be nice just to not have to get parts turned over to a coater & be at the mercy of their schedule & quality control. Some stainless or aluminum heat shields for mounts look like a good idea also.
