Default Best LT Header

I am fixing to buy a set of SLP LT's, SLP high flow cats, and SLP install kit for $945 shipped. Tell me why I shouldn't go with these and then what I should go with, price needs to be about the same as well. Also I know about the clearance issue already.

They are hard to put in but quality is very very good, cats are one of the best. Also, if your car is lowered look for another type of header.

Most places that install LT's have an install price for the SLP's and a lower install price for all other LT's. Also they are the lowest hanging header on the market. Check out Kooks or QTP's

Price on SLP headers and whatnot are good, but I can't count how many people on this board took them off their car and went to Kook's or QTP. I have never seen anyone that ever took Kook's or QTP off their car to go to slp's. Also, if you are looking for good cat's, magnaflow cat's are the highest flowing cats that you can buy, FYI.

It seems like everyone like Kook's or QTP's. Do they put out more power and are easier to install???

I don't know if this is true. Magnaflows may flow well but the new Dynatech Powercat claims 54% more flow than the rest. See link below:

I have SLP's with no cats and the y-pipes. The headers are good and I could tell the difference immediately, but clearance is an issue. Mine have scrapes all over them from speed bumps. Some places I cannot even go. Even took my y-pipe away from my header over one speed bump.

I personally wouldn't SLP LTs even if they were cheaper than Flowtechs.

QTPs

I'll try to find the link, but there ws a flow bench test done on every available 3inch in/out cat on the market, magnaflow was over 450 cfm, the next best was like 420cfm, which one I don't recall, I only cared about the #1. I'll try to find it and post a link.

I'm a little new to the LS1 tech area. But I've heard of the SLP headers... Being great for the F-Body car. Can anyone tell me who this QTP is? or Kooks? I'm trying to find a nice long tube equal length for my 84 vette. (I think I can fit either a modern F-body set of Long tubes or just a moderen vette set) ?

Well the guy that was selling me the SLP LT's just screwed me over. I was going to paypal him last night after he emailed me some pics, but he said he sold them last night which is BS. He has been trying to sell these for 3 months now, but when I told him I would buy them he says he sold them. Sounds like he didn't even have them and was going to screw me over. I am going to post his name in the member feedback area. So I guess I will probably go with Kook's or QTP's or FLP's.

It's a blesssing in disguise, the clearance of the SLP LT's is terrible!!! If I were you, I would eliminate FLP's and go with Kook's or QTP's. Kook's/QTP LT's are stainless steel, FLP's are not.

ON EDIT: I didn't realize you knew about the clearance issue already, just read that now.
