Default 408 intake manifold

How’s it going I have a iron block 408 11.5:1 compression 248/248 .609/.603 108 cam, 243 heads that have been ported. Currently running a super victor intake with a custom sheet metal elbow and a 102mm throttle body. I know the elbow is killing power big time. I’m looking to switch either to a fast 102 or a msd atomic. Car is a 6 speed with 4.11 gears in a 12 bolt. Currently making 443whp. Car is a street car that will see the strip once in a while. What intake do you guys recommend and why?

Always heard if you plan on spending damn near all your time up above 6500-7k rpms go with the MSD atomic, if you are below that use the Fast 102. With my old cathedral 408 I ran the FAST 102 with really good results. A4 dyno'd 462rwhp with Trick Flow 225s.

Slightly hyperbolic,
crossover for MSD VS FAST 102 on a 346" ~6000 RPM (with enough cam compression & cylinder head flow)
with a 4.00" stroke & 400"+ ~5400 RPM due to 10.3% greater piston speed at the same rpm.
On a 408" with well ported OE/aftermarket heads, cam & compression MSD (unported) ~ +8-12+ RWHP from 6000-7000+
VS FAST 102/102 ~+15-20 lb' from 2500-5000 RPM. Both will have significantly more torque then Super Victor .
With 4.11s whats important to you and your cars goals, Mid Range or Top End?
What is the LSA of the current cam?

With ported 821s and ported LS3 intake A4 car (02 Camaro this time) car made 482, through full exhaust with cutout closed. Haven't dyno'd since true dual install, plan to strap it back on the same dyno after 1-7/8 header install to see how much difference it made.

But to answer your question OP. Since car isn't a max effort strip car, I'd go Fast 102 simply for the midrange power. Either way you can't go wrong I'm sure over the setup you are currently running.

I Also wouldn’t be apposed to running a 4150 throttle body and keeping the super victor

Ported FAST 102 or Ported FAST 92mm with a 92mm throttle body (smaller TB to help with driveability).

I run a ported FAST 90 w/a 90mm throttle body. Makes good power. I would upgrade to a 102, but it the cost outweighs the power that will be gained.

I'd do a MSD on a 408. It has slightly shorter runners and more plenum volume.
