Default Modding upcoming Summer - Pull engine or leave in car?

I'm doing a head/cam/intake/motor mount/long tube install next Summer. I will also be removing AC as I don't need it in MN even in the heat. I've never done anything outside of an intake manifold swap on a different car but have been reading up a lot and feel pretty confident in taking this on myself. If I wasn't touching the motor mounts I would probably just do the work in the engine bay, but I was thinking it might be easier to pull the engine to swap those out and while it's out I can have easier access to swapping the cam/heads and torquing down the ud pulley. I just need to know if I will be making a lot more work for myself by pulling the engine from the top to work on the motor or if I should just leave it in. I already have a engine hoist/stand so wouldn't need to make any additional purchases there.

On those, if you have a lift, it's easier to drop the whole front cradle out from the bottom.

I guess it actually does make more sense to take the front cradle out especially when messing with the motor mounts.

Yeah, going that far into the engine, just drop the whole front end out and work on it that way. I'd want to shoot myself if I had to do all that work in car. I've pulled 3 now that way and have it down to half a day(give or take), taking my time and without air tools.
You can work on the whole thing with easy access to the front, the top, everything. Lift it up a bit to do the mounts, set it back down. Then change out everything else. Never even have to pull the trans off the engine. Just roll it all out as one assembly. Bolt the headers on and slap it all back under the car.

This definitely makes sense and I think will save a lot of frustration in the end. I am researching the threads on dropping the cradle out. It doesn't look too bad, more tedious than anything. I think I will definitely go this route. Thanks!

Honestly either way will work. Once the radiator is out and ac condensor, exhaust manifolds and intake manifold theres quite a bit of room. motor mounts with no heads or headers in the way arent that difficult.

I wasn't really considering the headers before. Wouldn't removing the engine from the bottom allow me to install the header primaries out of the bay and just roll the entire assembly back in with those attached without getting snagged up because that would save a lot of time as well if so.
