Perfect! I believe 06 corvettes were the first to get the 58x/4x, most others changed for the 07 model year.

The knock sensors are under the intake manifold on the Gen3 LS engine. Since your swapping over to LS2 or Gen4 the knock sensors are mounted on the sides of the block. You will also be needing a knock sensor extension harness and it can also be purchased through Texas Speed.

i haven’t torn down the ls1 yet. I wonder if the Ls1 sensor is the same thread pattern as the hole in the side of the block? There are 6 motor mount holes on each side of the block. I can just use a spare hole on each side for the knock sensor?

They will fit the extra motor mount holes. There is only one on the pass side which is usually the batt ground.
Check depth of the holes. I think they are a little short for the sensor. Just to be sure

LS2 corvette knock sensor locations. Use these holes but you have to drill and tap them to the correct size and use the LS1 type sensor.

Im pretty sure my dad has a set. I'll have to see if i can find it. There's just something about
not being about to reverse it if you screw up that's always made me nervous about it lol. Thanks for the picture and info.

It's an M10 X 1.5 and I purchased it from O'Riely's. I don't remember what drill size to use but it will tell you on the kit.

I drilled and tapped on the boss located behind the engine mount on the drivers side of the block down by the pan. These images are of an LSX block and not to be confused with standard LS blocks.

Here's a picture of the factory line that runs to driver side valve cover.

If that is broken, you can run your own 3/8 tubing to the driver side valve cover that contains a 90 deg hose barb into a grommet.

DORMAN 42056 pcv valve grommet O’Reilly Autoparts
Watts Nylon Hose barb A-295 3/8 in ID x ¼ in MIP – Home Depot

I had this setup, but then I went all out and shaved the valve covers and relocated the coil packs. In doing so, I welded AN bungs onto the valve covers and ran my own vacuum lines. You can also buy a valve cover that has the fitting but that's more $$ than welding in the bung.

Cam sensor. Its in the middle of the motor of course. Oil# switch is slightly to the right of it (driver side). Don't forget about the knock sensors also.
