Default sensors on the back of ls1

Hi guys! what are the sensors on the back of the ls1? I know the oil sending unit, but there is a sensor on the back of the intake and one just below the intake. The motor is from a 2002 camaro ss. Im doing an ls2 swap and im running into alot of trouble with sensor swapping. Sorry about the low quality post, im at work and trying not to get behind. Thanks to whoever reads this!!

So they cam sensor is up front, and I’m having to relocate the oil sensing unit to just above the oil filter. I think the vacuums on the back of the fast intake will for my original vacuum lines.

The oil pressure sensor shouldn't have to be moved from what I've read. It will be higher for sure but my understanding is that it does clear.

Install the MAP on the front of the FAST intake. Get an extension harness for the cam sensor if running the LS2 timing cover otherwise install it in its original location.

There is spot on the back of the intake to install the MAP but it's just easier to deal with when its up front.

oh ok. Well I may move the oil pressure just so if it goes out I can get to it without dropping the motor again. Plus I have solid motor mounts that make my engine sit a tad higher.

Also I have a few pictures of my build so far. I’ve never built an ls before so it’s all new to me. I’ve built older motors 350, 318 and ford 302. So any question or concern that sounds dumb I apologize...

This is the ls1 and I’m transferring them from. The vacuum line that is broken goes from the throttle body to both valve covers. But on my new motor I do not have a fitting on the passenger side valve cover. How souls you guys run this?

On the driver side of this vacuum line I believe it’s pcv valve, but on the new motor it’s just a fitting.

The hoses you're asking about are for the pcv system. LS2 setup is different. Best to disregard what the LS1 has and look at the LS2. The valve cover/s are for fresh clean air into the crankcase. This line should be supplied after the maf sensor and before the throttle body. Some throttle bodies will have a port for this.

The LS2 will have a tube on the valley cover, front passenger side. This is the dirty air out, should be connected to intake manifold vacuum. The valley cover has a built in "valve" for the pcv system.

There is a thread that is all about swapping an LS2 in place of the LS1.

Read through this it will help a lot.

These are the only sensors left on the back of the motor right now. The full wiring harness is still on the car right now. Was thinking it’d probably be easier to install that way.

hey!! that’s exactly what I needed. Thanks!! So I know the harness extensions I need now.. as far as you know can I use all ls1 accessories? See my old motor I guess hydro locked. My wife drove it to the store, it sat for a few weeks then when I fired it up something beat a hole in the block( which I now know a connecting rod snapped). When I drained the oil The other day to swap oil pans almost pure water poured out for a few seconds before turning to oil. So I have a full ls1 to pull parts from. I’m going to use those knock sensor and possibly I’ll pressure gauge, but I’m thinking of relocating it for easy future replacement.

Everything should bolt right up. The water pump on the LS2 might be different but you can put the old water pump on if needed.

Does your LS2 have a 24x reluctor wheel? If it has the 58x wheel you will need a converter box.

the motor came from an 05 corvette. As far as I know 06 and up are 58 except Trail Blazers and got. Anything pre2006 should be 24.
