JAAM ram air kit Hi everyone I have a 2002 trans am ws6. I'm looking into the JAAM ram air kit and noticed that they are not made anymore.
are there issues with this kit? my car is stock other then a SLP lid and tune for horse power and torque.
would I need a retune if I was to get the JAAM kit and have it installed?

I've never heard of the JAAM intake kit, based off a quick Google search it appears it was a ram air kit for Trans Ams, but you're probably out of luck finding one.
I have no idea if the JAAM intake was ever effective or not, I tend to think probably not, but I do know the Chrs1313 ram air kit is proven to pick up a lot of power. There's an AC version, non AC version and a "prostock" version. The non AC version pick up 2 mph in the 1/4 mile on a stock car. I read on one of Chrs1313's posts that he picked up 3 mph cam only, which is a pretty serious gain.
And from what I've read, it sounds like it doesn't require a re-tune.

The JAAM kit was designed to make the WS6 hood scoops functional for routing outside air to the airbox. It and its predecessor, the BGRA, were unique in that respect. Other systems, like the Chris1313, are bottom feeders.
