ls6 coolant crossover So I just finished up a h/c install on my 99 Camaro SS. Previously I did a Fast 92 intake and ls6 coolant crossover. I reinstalled the crossover after the h/c and now my front crossover is leaking coolant so I can only imagine the rear block offs are as well. I got the dorman gasket 56390 kit that are the full gasket type instead of just an O-ring that originally came with the kit when I switched to the ls6 system. Do I just pitch the O-rings that originally came with the kit? Also, if the fronts are leaking I should assume the rear block offs are as well, do I need to remove the intake again to swap these out or is it normally done with it on. I really don't want to pull the intake and buy new intake gaskets if it can be done otherwise....Thank you for the help in advance. On a side note, it was fun after all the hours spent doing the H/C to finally fire it up! I got a small cruise in and now waiting a few more weeks until I can get it on the dyno. You can for sure take the cross over from the front without removing the manifold. I did this very thing.
You can reuse your intake gaskets, they are not a one time use.
I would stick your hand/arm back behind the motor on the rear block offs to make sure they are leaking. I had a similar issue but it was just my front DR side one. Don't do more work than you have to.
