Default Burning smell

Ever since I installed my TSP headers, off road y and cat-back every single time I get on the car hard I get a pronounced burning smell. Its more like a burning wire smell not a burning oil smell or anything. Is it possibly from a header not sealed correctly? I've looked all over since we installed the headers and I don't see a thing that would indicate an exhaust leak. TIA

How long has it been? Could be coating burning off the header. Could be something burning. When I had my 4th gen, I didn't pay enough attention when I installed my headers and I melted my cruise control cable. Possibly a spark plug wire?

Its all stainless so I don't think anything is burning off. I've looked at all the plug wires and they look fine. It was all installed back in February. I don't drive it a lot. Probably a few hundred miles since I put all of it on.

I will look again. But I've even looked at it up on a lift and don't see anything. And like I said it only happens when I floor it. Normal driving there is no smell at all.

I wanted to bump this thread because its obvious now the burning smell is oil. I get a lot of white smoke when I go WOT. The car doesn't really use any oil. But when I hit it WOT a big blast of white smoke blows out the pipes. Maybe I have a broken ring. Who knows. Not really much I can do other than pull the motor. I'm just gonna run it till it blows.

Is it possible its blowing oil in the intake and that's causing the smoking? I know these motors often need catch cans. Which this car doesn't have. I pulled the oil cap off while it was running and revved it up. It didn't have any smoke come out of the valve cover. So that makes me think its not blowback. What do you guys think? I think its a ring issue myself. This probably needs to be moved to Internal Engine forum.
