LM7 Dipstick Tube Depth

LM7 Dipstick Tube Depth How deep should the dipstick tube insert into the engine? The "lip" on the tube of my engine barely sits under flush with the hole in the block. There is no satisfying click/detent into place. The hole on the tube does line up with the hole on the heads. Does anyone have a photo of where it should seat?

The hole in the block is just large enough to allow the tube to go in, and has a chamfer on it. The tube goes in until the little bead on it seats into the chamfer a little ways. It probably won't be entirely inside the casting, but a bunch of it will be. At that point it's fully installed. The bolt on the head should hold a bit of tension on it into the hole to keep it stable.

Ok. The lip on mine is inside the hole with the top of the lip flush with the rest of the casting. I was just making sure it wasn't supposed to be 1/4 underflush or not visible because it went so deep.
