OVH motor, extra bolt?
Well 3 months ago I pulled the 5.3 out to OVH it. After many delays I started to reinstall and for the life of me I could not find where this bolt came from. Hoping to find where the bolt went, I put everything back on, but no luck.My truck is in my signature.
I found the bolt in the bag for the driver’s side front along with the power steering mount bolts. So, it should go in that top side general area. The picture shows it with a larger power steering mount bolt.
It has a shallow head,
I replaced the front right axle seal and the front right wheel hub when I had the engine out, but the bolt would not have ended up in that bag of bolts.
This is the 1st LS type engine I have pulled out so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am still looking for a place to put this bolt in! It does not go into the block-heads-engine.
Any ideas?
That bracket on the driver's side is a safety item. In case of a head on collision it is supposed to prevent gas from going into the cab from the fuel rail!
Before I put the motor back in I searched for where it should go, thought I would figure it out--------NOT!
Thanks anyway.
