Electric or mechanical performance water pump?

Hey Everyone. I snapped my stock corvette water pump pulley on my supercharged LQ9 today while tuning, so now I'm trying to decide what to replace it with. Spend $500 on Edelbrock's high volume high performance mechanical pump or go electric with Meziere's kit that comes with the pulley as an idler for almost $800. I have the funds but I really don't want to spend a lot on this.. just don't want to be replacing the OEM pumps consistently and I don't know if the pros of electric pumps would be worth the extra money. I couldn't find anyone that sold something like Meziere's kit for cheaper. The truck will be used for street/strip. Any advice is appreciated.

I run a PRW 1434620 manual pump on my 434. More flow, less cavitation, and heavy duty pulley. Expensive, but won’t fail you and cools great.

Input my meziere on in 2015. It outlasted the remaining life of my 346 and then the entire life of my 428. It will be going into my 440.

I ditched the idler arrangement and went to a short belt. Crank, alt, steering. The. Went manual steering.

It was the 55 gpm street version with the idler.

If you get the Edelbrock 8896 water pump, you might need to space your belt idler out with a few washers. I had to on my LS1. Other than that, it works great. My temps dropped (driving in Arizona) enough for it to be noticeable on the gauge. LINK TO MY THREAD

My thought exactly lol if he had a p/n I'd be ordering right now I want an ele pump but I've always been worried about it not lasting that long and being stranded some where during the summer
