Is there any alternative to getting an engine wash? It's pretty filthy...I guess just a hand towel and some spray?

Just get rid of the EGR valve and tubing as well as the AIR tubing. That'll clean up the engine bay as much as washing. There's a vacuum port mounted on the left rear of the intake that you'll need to cap off, as well as putting a freeze plug in the EGR hole, but that's about it. Doing so will also facilitate spraying and wiping.

Hey guys going from my high flow catted y pipe to the catless y pipe and no EGR on the headers, I notice a lot of droning and inner vibrations in the car now whilst on D and at idle, while in motion or on any other shift at idle the droning and vibrations go away, is this normal? I have poly motor and trans mounts. I figure it's just cause there's more power going through the pipe? Just making sure

Cats took out the drone you now have. Power level is irrelevant.

Cheap headers will sound like cheap header My experience the Speed Engineering stuff is pretty good overall for the cost. Y pipe may be pretty fussy to get fitted. My local performance shop hates Speed Engineering in general due to the random fit issues that occur.

FWIW - I've had exhaust holes fixed before by asking the shop to weld a washer into the hole. If the hole isn't too big that can work as a band aid for a while. Probably will depend on how rusted out the metal is if that can be done.

Saved me having to buy a new exhaust for the wife's old Grand Am a time or two

There were no issues with the install thankfully, headers and y pipe fit right in with the existing back side pipe.
I wouldn't have been able to patch the hole because the pipes were badly rusted, photos are above^, nevertheless I decided to go new pipes anyway for the case of when I resell it all worked out, and these are ss 304 so i should be good from now on
