Default FAST 92mm intake manifold short bolts torque specs?

Hello

I am in the process of replacing the rope seal between the upper and lower shells. I know that the 10 long bolts are torqued at 89 in. lb.

However, not quite sure about the torque specs on the 3 front and 3 rear short bolts that hold both shells together.

Any input will be appreciated.

Tighten them with a T handle just good and snug. Or use the same as the long ones. It’s the same thread size I believe.

Thanks Ron

I have just found the instructions for the 102mm FAST intake manifold, where they mentioned to torque the short bolts at 70-89 in lb. I guess I am going to torque them the same as the long ones as you mentioned because of same size

One thing I’ve noted is that the long bolts tend to loosen with time. So check them after a few heat cycles.

Instead of replacing the rubber rope in mine, I simply laid a small bead of rtv on top of it and bolted it together.

I am going to use some blue loctite on the bolts. I have already removed the old seals and hopefully will be able to lay down the new rope seal nicely so it won’t leak😬. Yes you are right, laying a small bead of rtv would do the job.
