Default Advise on air lid

I’m going with a fast 102 intake, need to upgrade on the air lid, was looking at FTP but they look flimsy for the price and have seen videos of the lid not fitting perfectly. Which other air lid can I go with.

can I still run my stock SLP black wing air lid with the fast 102 I/TB?

I just upgraded to the 98mm FTP lid. Seemed fine to me. Wasn't flimsy and fit well. Is there any other option except for the SLP lid or the K&N FIPK?

In all honesty if I’m paying 200 for an air lid, I want it to fit without issues and the brand doesn’t matter. I just said slp because that’s what I currently have stock. There has been mixed reviews on the ftp air lid and since it’s priced close to 200, I want to make sure I’m getting a good to great product.

Unless FTP has changed how they are making their lids, there is no way the quality is worth $200. I would stick with an SLP or Blackwing lid and lose a few hp before I paid that much for something IMO so flimsy and poor fitting.

I have the ftp 104 lid. Honestly it’s flimsy and kinda disappointed in the quality.

I've had my FTP lid for 5 years now and it's not thick plastic so don't overtighten it.

I have a FTP 98mm and the two inner tabs have broken off. Like stated, they are flimsy.

Fast Toys FT104AIRLID

Say what you want but it's the best lid on the market. Don't be forceful! My tabs aren't broken and my lid isn't cracked either and if your worried about sealing and fitment things can be done there too.

FTP lids are flimsy junk but it is our only option. Don't choke the setup with a 78mm lid on a 102mm intake/TB.

My FTP lid cracked, they aren't worth the $200 they charge so I went to a Chris1313 because I didn't want to spend another $200 for something that breaks easily but as far as lid setups you don't really have another option.

Someone needs to start 3D printing better quality lids in various sizes.

You'll have to already have one that's thicker to begin with in order to scan it.

Add fiberglass/bondo for that purpose

Same here. Take your time to get it to fit and the lid will work fine. You really don't have any other good options out there

Alright so who's gonna be the one to put this into action and start selling them for half the cost?
